The Longest Sunday
Today was a long day. I’m writing this while J lay in bed about to knock out for the night.
I woke up at around 7:30a with my youngest child, her thumping feet had me cracking one eye open, as she hit the ground running. After some snuggles and a bathroom break, we made our way to the kitchen and I made myself some tea and sat down at the laptop to write this blog.
I also opened up my ISSA page to take my first quiz, except I quickly learned that I had somehow missed an entire chapter of my reading assignment. So I began reading while I drank my tea, and any blog writing was put off until… well, now.
I moved into the bedroom with the laptop after breakfast and everyone trying to pull me away from my course work, so that I could finish reading and then take my quiz.
Once I finished reading I did the stretches for the day on my bedroom floor, and drank some water, and then I got to the test. It was very easy to me, and honestly my favorite part of the reading work was how I could apply what I was reading to my own experiences in Squad, the behavioral stages and what the client mindset is like in each. Different types of motivation and how to best help people find their joy. It just makes me that much more excited for the rest of my training.
My back felt great when I woke up, but as the day progressed it got more and more tired and a little sore. I hope I feel good enough to work out in the morning. I really don’t want to have another rest day.
Today was also super long because I began the task of gift wrapping all the things. And there were 4 batches of cookies that we worked on, and then dinner. And I’m just tired now.
