Spine and Hip Mobility

I’m taking the cue from my body, I’m making today a mobility day.

Fully in the throes of my luteal phase, I am stiff and achy and tired, even though I was in bed at a reasonable time last night. I don’t feel like I have a ton of energy today, and I’m 100% willing to go back to bed. Alas, I have a million things to do today, so I wont be going back to bed. But some spine and hip mobility feel like a really good idea, so that’s what I’m planning on today.

I was busy running around all day yesterday, and I could feel it then too: the lurking of Aunt Flo’s visit not too far away. Bloated and sluggish and cramping, and spotting, and I’m totally feeling Troll Mode trying to kick in. I tend to have at least one day of being horrendously pathetic, where I stay in my jammies and my hair resembles a nest on my head, shuffling back and forth from the kitchen to my bed, drinking all the hot cozy drinks and grumbling at anyone who bothers me or interrupts my naps or invades my Troll Cave.

So, Spinal and Hip Mobility are the name of the game today, because I know it will help lessen the aches and discomfort. I’m going to try really hard to stick to the plan and workout with my Valkyrie friend in Novice, but truthfully I want to bail. I feel like crap. I know the functional movement workout will make me feel better too though, so I don’t really want to skip out, I just feel crummy and I’m super whiny about it today.
