Feyre CurseBreaker

Mia Garlock

This workout though.

I did this workout in the beginning of my journey while I was waiting for Valkyrie Squad to launch in 2022. It was HARD. This workout had me questioning myself big time and whether or not I would be able to even attempt Valkyrie Squad let alone be successful.

Feyre's Cursebreaker workout is intense, and there is no point during it where I'm not sweating bullets.

It was what I did yesterday, and today I am limping across my house.

My thighs are burning from a Court of Sweat and Sass days earlier, and my shoulders are smoldering. I'd be willing to bet that if I stepped outside into the 30 degree morning air, veritable steam would be pouring off of me poor shoulders.

It was nice to revisit this workout though, as challenging as it is, because even with my too-long-hiatus from the mat and pushing myself, I can still note where I've improved drastically from the last time I did this workout.

I do so enjoy redoing workouts after a long time in between, because the progress is really notable. I would say that it's actually one of the best methods of reboosting yourself when you feel like your motivation is off or like you just can't convince yourself to stay consistent anymore. We all get tired, I get it. But I think I'm going to employ this method going forward too- every time I find myself up against a wall in my head, when I can't find the motivation to get up and on the mat again- instead of trying a new workout, maybe I'll go back to one I haven't done in a few months, to remind myself of where I'm at and how far I've come.

Ever since I started reading ACOTAR I've envied Feyre's bow skills.. This workout reminds me of just how strong she actually was, in spite of her hunger and their poverty and the lack of adequate meals and sustenance to support her body. Feyre still pulled back a bow string tight enough to go through the body of an animal. I'm not sure if you've ever hunted, but that is some work. To go Moose hunting for example, you need to be able to pull back and accurately fire a minimum of 75lbs on a bow string. Have you ever tried to row 75lbs? What about a cable pull? Yeah that ish is hard.

Needless to say I'm super sore this morning. I'm going to be foam rolling a few times today, I can just tell. I might even submerge myself in som epsom salts later and see if it pulls the hot ache from my muscles.

The weather is supposed to be crap the next three days, so even though I'm sore I"m going to go for a walk today and try and get some fresh air in my lungs before the storm hits tomorrow and makes us all want to curl up and veg out.
